I purchased the rear drum bearing kit. How is the ground strap attached to the bearing. The kit came with a sheet of paper that shows the ground strap but it is not clear at all, it has a very poor picture.
Answer Hello Steve. install the ground strap over the end of the screw for bracket so that the metal clip on ground strap touches end of the drum shaft. Secure the ground strap with the special fastener provided.
My dryer works fine, but when it's on it makes a very loud screeching sound. I was told it needs new pads. What part is this?
You would most likely need the drum glide WE03X10007 which is located around the front of the drum. If the glide is damaged or missing it will cause a screeching type of noise. It could also be possible that the drum bearing [AP3042531] is bad and needs to be replaced. The drum bearing is located off the back of the drum and is like a ball that allows the drum to spin.
