Washer bangs while it agitates.

Answer Hello Greg. Check and see if the bottom of the unit is bent. If not, you may have some issues with the shocks WH16X10057 WH16X544 being bad on the unit and needing to be replaced. Also look and make sure the frame on the unit is not cracked or bad on the unit.
will not agitate, but it fills with water and drains.took front off the belt seems tight. turned the pulley and it seemed to move o.k. but when you move the agitator it seems to move o.k. when plugged in can hear a humming. when its filling a hear a buzzing only sometimes. can you tell me whats wrong? or where to start thanks

Answer Hi Pam. While filling the buzzing is that the water valve coils are starving for good water pressure. Water valve part # []. R3emove the power. Remove the control back cover. Jump the red/blu wire with the Dark blue/wht wire together. Use elect. tape to wrap around the wire connections so they do not touch anything. (Usually you will slide the connectors together by one side from each connector mated together so you don't have to use a stripped wire for the jumper). Now start the washer in reg wash cycle and see if it starts agitation. If so then the pressure switch needs replaced part # WH12X10301. If not then look at the lid switch that will allow what you exactly explained. Jump the Red/blu wire and the orange wire at the lid switch and see if agitation begins (using the same manner as spoken of before). Lid switch part # WH12X10334. Thank You.
The washer fills and drains but it does not agitate or spin out. Can here the motor running. Just does not move. Also can you give me the right part numbers so I get the right ones. Thank you, Pam

Answer Hi Pam. Use a putty knife to push in on the top clips at the lt. and rt. side of the corners. Under the front top edge , approx. 3-4" in aer the release tabs. The front panel will pop out at he top and then you slide/lift it from the front of the cabinet frame. Inspect the flashing green light on top of the motor circuit board and count the flash intervals. A normal "wash" mode will be a half second on and a half second off. At idle it will be flashing at one second on and one second off. If both of these are true then see if the belt needs replaced, part # WH01X10302. You may be better off to use a belt installation tool w/instructions part # WX05X10102. Let us know if we can assist. further. Thank You.
