Most Interesting

There's noise in the evaporator area (top freezer). Began watching videos and taking apart. Am stuck because can't get fan blade off. Pulled very hard (began to rock fridge). It seems as if there's a little band/nut that might be holding it on? (Or should I force it, and risk breaking something?) It definitely won't pop off as videos say. So, I can't go any further with the diagnostics, or even tell if it has both grommets, etc. Help!

The evaporator fan runs fine but is starting to hum due to vibration. I don't see any way to adjust. A gentle rap solves the problem temporarily (garage mechanic style) Is this the fan motor or fan blade wearing out? Thanks
