I replaced the thermostat along with the temp sensor about three weeks ago on my GE side by side now my fridge is not as cold as it should be started about a week ago freezer fine fridge not cold milk room temp.does it have a separate sensor for the fridge
While there is a sensor in the refrigerator compartment back by the air damper on the left wall , it is possible that you may be having a defrost issue. You can check the defrost limiter to see if it has continuity. If it does not have continuity then you would not need to change it out. You will also want to check the defrost thermistor for resistance. The resistance values should be as follows, 42.5K at 0 degrees, 14.4k at 37 degrees and 5K ohms at 77 degrees. If not within range then it would need to be replaced. If it checks good then also check the defrost heater for continuity. If no continuity then replace and if good with continuity and all other components check ok then you would need a new main control board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
My unit has power but the compressor and fan is not running at all, any suggestions?
You will want to access the main control board on the back of the unit and check for power going to the compressor. If you check from J3 connector which is a black wire to the orange wire on the J7 pin 9 there should be 120 vac. If there is not then the main control board WR55X10942 is faulty and would need to be replaced.
