Control board will not respond. Only the freezer control will beep when depressed. Freezer is too cold set to 9 but will not go lower.

My GE refrigerator, model PTS25LBMARBB, will reset the temperature settings to 0 if not locked. If the settings are locked then it beeps from the temp control module. It maintains the temp just fine, defrosts fine, just has the annoying beeping at different times for maybe half an hour at a time. Should I replace the temp control board, mother board, or both?

Latest Questions

Freezer works, but refrigirator doesn't. Obviuosly a defrost system problem(opened up the freezer and the evaporator coils are frozen over blocking the vent to refrigirator). A few months ago I replaced the defrost thermostat(original one was frozen and expanded as if water got in and froze in there). Now the problem is back: I checked the heater element: it reads 35.6 Ohms. The defrost thermostat reads 0.3 Ohms. I took both off the freezer and checked independently. Are any of these numbers indication that these parts are bad? Also, does my unit have a damper door, do you know? If so where is it, as I couldn't find it. Thank you!

Refrigerator and freezer keep running too cold. I adjust the temperature and both the freezer and refrigerator go lower. The water line has frozen. I turned off the appliance and then the water will work because it defrosted. I have to move the temperature controls for both refrigerator and freezer several times daily so the food does not freeze in the refrigerator and I have water on the door. What is wrong with this GE profile refrigerator/freezer?

The temperature lights are dark, display will beep when raising or lowering temp. Refrigerator seems to be working fine. I replaced the mother board 2 years ago.
