The refrigerator is freezing items on the fridge side even though the control is set to 1. Does this sound like the control board behind the setting panel?

Answer Hello Jim,
You should check the damper assembly WR49X10091 in the refrigerator compartment to ensure that the door has not broken off. What happens a lot of times is the damper door breaks and allows cold air to continuously come into the refrigerator compartment even when it is not calling for it.
Concerning the temperature control panel, you can set temps but they do not change. Refrigerator fluctuates between approx. 28F and 35F and controls for meat and veg. drawers do not work. Is this the temp. control or motherboard that is burned out?

Answer Hi Roy. You need to change the Temperature thermistor part # is WR55X10025. There are 2 in the fresh food section. The shunt sensor included part # is WR02X10668. There is also another thermistor in the lower drawer upper area with the fan that chills the drawers. In the freezer section there is also a temperature sensor WR55X10025 and another shunt sensor part # is WR02X10668. Try these 1st before the controls, part # is WR55X10172. All these sense the temperatures for the board. Thank you.
