Water is backing up from my sink back into the dishwasher. I have checked all of the plumbing drain lines. All lines are clear. I have drain line loop attached to underside of counter as high as possible. I do not have an air gap. It is not possible to install as I have granite countertops and no hole is available. It mostly seems to back up when washing dishes in sink and using disposal. Before turning disposal on when water is backed up into sink it appears that some water is backing up into dishwasher. This didn't always seem to happen, we have been in the house 9 years and only recently started having this problem. Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

My dishwasher runs through the cycles fine, it drains fine. It seems that the sprayers don't spin very much and have little pressure. What could it be?

Hello, My GE dishwasher is not draining. This happened about 6 months ago and I solved the problem by buying a new piston and nut assembly, so I don't think it is that part because of how recently I installed it. To make sure, I closed the piston and nut assembly with a zip tie and re-installed it. The dishwasher will drain when the nut is held closed. What does that mean? There is no blockage in the line and the pump and solenoid seem to be functioning as it will drain when the nut is held closed. Thanks so much!

The washer seems to be going through the cycles ok but the water doesn't drain from the tube. The pump is working and the solenoid pulls down, I took the hose off the sink drain and blowed back through it and it seems ok. What's next? thanks for any help
