My Repair & Advice
I ordered a new bucket and auger combination--I didn't want to have to completely disassemble the mechanism to replace the rusted auger helix dispenser, so for about twice the cost of the auger alone I got the complete assembly. The product arrived in pristine condition less than 48 hours after I purchased it online. About 10 minutes later (most of that spent taking out the old bucket and finding my philips head screwdriver), I had removed the four screws holding the cover plate on the old unit and reattached it to this new unit. I installed it into the refrigerator, where it fit like a glove. I had fresh, clean ice about two hours later, and the next day the bucket was filled. This was so simple, I hesitate to call it a project. Absolutely outstanding experience buying from AppliancePartsPros.com!
