GE - MICROWAVE Mod # JE2160SF01. I recently (11/05/13) had the capacitor replaced by an appliance repair company. The 30 day part warranty was 3 days short of expiring when the microwave died again (12/02/13). The same repairman came out, checked it & said it was the fuse. He replaced the fuse & the microwave worked until today (2/17/14). I replaced the fuse, & plugged the microwave into an extension cord (I was outside) & boiled a cup of water. I then refitted the microwave back into the cabinet, after setting the clock, I opened & closed the door & the microwave died again. After resetting the breaker, the same thing happened 3 more times. I have just reset the breaker again, 4th time (a dedicated circuit) & the microwave came back on. I reset the clock, put a cup of water in & pressed the time cook button for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes, the water was boiling? I have read that closing the door could/might be the problem with the door switch .We are not heavy handed when closing the door so I feel it is not abused. Is there a way of checking the door switch to see if it's the problem. Also, is it true that the Magnetron is warrantied for 10 years by GE? The capacitor label has the following numbers on it & I'm not sure what the correct replacement part numbers are if I need to replace the capacitor: CAPACITOR: 21CH115S080Q, 2100VAC 50/60 HZ, 1.10 uF +- 3%B, 10/85/21 CLASS S no PCB, SAMWHA CAPACITOR Co LTD. Thank you for your assistance.
