Answer Ted, I would not expect you to need the ice chute assembly. It's inside the door/dispenser assembly and would not normally break or chip, under normal operation. The more likely situation is, the crusher assembly housing deflector door has broken off and fell down the chute WR17X10703 or maybe one of the components in the crusher housing could be at fault.
