I have a Kenmore 30' Free Range Oven model# 362, 91201001, I bought a replacement BAKE Element part# WB44K10005 after installing the element I plugged the oven plug into the wall outlet the OVEN Cycle indicator light stayed on rather if the oven or range knobs were on or off, I was told that I needed to replace the oven control board, I want to know how true that is and if I need to make that purchase in order to use my oven?

Answer Edward, Yes, it does sound like the control board is faulty and would need to be replaced. The oven may work but may not work properly with the cycle indicator staying on all the time.

Ater using oven shut off oven and it would not turn off off. Unplugged oven and it shut off. Plugged oven back in and even with knob off it came back on? What would cause this? Thanks Larry

Answer Hello Larry. It sounds like the thermostat WB20K8 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Make sure the knob is not broken and not turning the shaft of the thermostat. This will cause the issue as well.
