DO I HAVE TO DO ANYTHING WITH REFRIGERANT TO REPLACE THE COMPRESSOR? I WAS TOLD THAT I NEED A TECHNICIAN TO DO THIS BECAUSE OF REFRIGERANT.
Answer Yes you do. There are a number of things you would need. 1) Refrigeration certification in order to buy freon. 2) A number of specialty tools, such as torches, gauges, vacumn pump, charging cylinder, etc. It really isn't a normal job for someone without sealed system experience. If you can get someone who can provide this service we would be more then happy to provide the compressor to you for them to install.

What is the btu rating for part#wr87x10244
Unfortunately the manufacturer does not supply the BTU rating to us for the compressors.
What size compressor would this be?
We do not have the size of the compressor for the model. In most cases the Horsepower of the compressor will be either a 1/4 or a 1/3 HP.
