After cleaning the back of the fridge we noticed that the fan took about 5-7 min. to begin spinning. It slowly moved then a little faster until it kicked in. Is this natural? What could be causing this?

The connections to my model are different. The part comes with instructions but it doesn't specify which way the black wires are installed. When the motor is on should it be blowing air on to the coils or should it be sucking air away from the coils. Mine is currently sucking air away from the coils. If this is incorrect I will need to reverse these wires. Please advise.
