How do I check for proper switch operation using continuity? My washer over fills on the highest water level setting. My washer has a "One Touch" control pad.
Thanks

Answer Hello Greg,
You will want to check the pressure hose to make sure it is not kinked, cracked, broken, come off and make sure that air dome and hose are not clogged. If this checks ok then you can do a continuity test on the pressure switch to make sure that the contacts are making. Check pin 12 to 11 when you first check and then you will blow into the hose and check from 16 to 11. You should have continuity. If not then the pressure switch is bad and needs to be replaced.
I have a GE profile washer that is 5 years old. It works fine except when filling, the water temperature now immediately turns from hot to cold and fills cold when 105/cold is selected.

Answer Hello Patrick,
Check the electrical connections from the water valve, temperature sensor and the control board If no bad connections are found, replace the temperature sensor WH12X10251. If the problem still exists, the control board will be the issue WH42X10486.
