Most Interesting

The top panel that houses the timer and water level has a plastic clip that holds the timer in place.Well that plastic clip that holds it firmly against the panel broke and now the knob to select what type of wash you want to perform(gentle, reg e.g.) will not keep the dial secure because the motor that controls that falls back thus falling off.I can still select the desired washing if I take the panel off and hold the timer against the panel. Should I order a new panel and where would I look for it?

It was getting harder and harder to push button to start. I get all the lights powering up when I reset, but nothing when I push the start button. how can I tell if it is just the button or the control assembly? I hate that type of button, any way to change to a toggle or other type of switch.

Latest Questions

My GE washer does not go into spin cycle. The belt is o.k. The lid switch is fine. The control module has power to it. At no time do I get power to the motor. I don't think there are any safety type controls left to keep the motor from getting voltage? I think the control module to faulty. Any advice?

The washer has start problems. The number of start button pushes between successful starts has been increasing. Once it is running the wash process proceeds as programmed on the control panel. My gut feeling is that there is a bad relay on the control board but read on. Today I pushed the start button a very large number of times without success and then inspired by one suggested diagnostic step I saw in the question and answer trail on this website I tried rotating and rocking the tub. The tub wouldn't rotate but I was able to rock it. The first time I pushed the start button after rocking the tub the washer started. Was that a coincidence or is there a switch buried in the washer that I somehow released by rocking the tub?
