I am having a problem with starting the washer on certain wash cycles (pushing the start button to begin the fill cycle but washer stops responding). If the wash cycle selector switch is moved to a different position the washer may start and complete the wash cycle. There are only a couple of wash cycles the washer will actually complete a full wash cycle. Any thoughts? Could this part fix the problem?

Answer Hello Brian,
There are several things that can cause a stoppage during a cycle. If the cold side of the water valve WH13X10024 is bad, it will fill with hot water for the wash cycle but cannot fill for the rinse as the rinse only fills with cold water. If the lid switch WH12X10141 is bad it will start but cannot spin as the lid switch is required to be closed to complete the spin cycle. If the motor WH20X10019 has a bad winding, it can either spin or agitate, but not both, and of course, if there is a bad electronic control WH12X10252 it is rather unpredictable what it will do. With a more specific problem description, it is possible to give a more specific possible cause.
