Washer fills up runs to one side then to the other side. Door does lock and water drains but that is all it does. Tried to run a Diagnostic test but would not give me any type of codes. is the power board bad?
The first thing that you will want to check is to see if the door is locking and if it will do a spin cycle in the diagnostics. If it will then most likely the control board would be the issue. If the unit will not then check the door lock as this would be the most likely cause for the issue.
When I start a cycle on the washer, door locks and seems like drain pump engages, but water doesn't fill and the washer pauses after some time. When checking for error code in diagnostics mode, I get error E30. Other diagnostics checks out too. I did clean the drain pump filter, but there wasn't much. Any idea what might be wrong?
Answer Hello Saurabh,
Ensure pump strainer is clean and free of debris. Check for obstruction inside the drain hose. Check pump impeller blades and bearing; if evidence of blade damage or seized bearings are present, replace the pump. Check electrical connections at the pump motor and harness. Measure pump motor resistance; if outside range (9–14 ohms at room temp.), replace the pump. This is from the tech sheet. The thing that isn't emphasized is if something is able to contact the pump impeller, the pump can have a damaged impeller that is not obvious without close examination. Since it is inside the pump housing, it is sometimes very hard to determine whether the plastic impeller has separated from the stainless steel motor shaft. Keep this in mind when inspecting the part WH23X10028.
