Where should the temperature control be set? This refrigerator is in a rental unit, and was not keeping food cold enough so have it set at between 3 and 4 which has improved the refrigerator temperature slightly. The freezer does not freeze bread - where is the temperature control for the freezer? I don't know how old this unit is - can you advise if it is still current or how old it might be? Thanks for your help!

My rental house tenant with this fridge stated that 3 or 4 times in last 6 weeks the food in refrigerator section has become frozen--temp has gone down to 30 F or so. Temp control on 6, which is just over middle, for past 6 months. Any suggestions appreciated.

The freezer stops freezing intermittently (has been happening randomly about once a month for the last 3-4 months). To get it going again once it stopped freezing takes slightly moving (or even just touching/shaking a bit) the temperature regulator knob. After that it works fine for 3-4 weeks until that happnes again. I suspect either a faulty temperature control board; or maybe a freezer auto-defroster control; or maybe the thermostat, but am not sure which of the parts is the most likely to be bad. Will greatly appreciate a piece of advice.
