help would be greatly appreciated.
Answer Dane, It is not unusual to receive a new igniter, and have it "broken" in the box. They are pretty fragile, so recheck for a resistance reading across the igniter wires, or apply 120 VAC directly to the igniter to see if it glows(be very careful). With the wires disconnected from the igniter, use a multi meter or test light, attach the test device to the two wires coming from the oven cavity wires and program a bake cycle, you should read 120 VAC across the wires in a few moments. No voltage would indicate a broken wire between the oven cavity and the ERC/Clock WB27T10267 If the igniter checks OK, if you have voltage to the igniter, and there are no loose or broken connections, then the issue is in the safety valve WB20X126. You can check across the two terminals on the valve for a "closed" circuit with a multi meter.
