Answer Mary, You should be able to use the cooktop on an interm bases until the top is replaced. You would not want to replace top as soon as possible to not cause further damage to range.

Answer Hello Kris. WB2X9902 is the foam tape used under the cooktop glass, and you will use the screws to secure the glass to the burner box. Hope this helps.
