Bought and installed new coupling. This type of agitator is supposed to push down over coupling and snap together. However the agitator, when pushed all the way down to the bottom, still does not engage the clips (apparently) because the agitator comes off during use. Should I put a washer/spacer on top of spline before installing coupling to boost it up a bit so that it engages the agitator??

My washer does not agitate. It does spin. The agitator seems to spin free when turned.

coupling agitators teeth are not engaging looks like some kind of spacer has rusted out. so i put two small washers inside of the coupling to keep the coupling from going down all the way, that has kept the teeth engaged and the agitators working again.. My queistion is is there a spacer washer washer that gos on the shaft before the coupling agitator goes on?

Hi - I am an art teacher and I brought my students aprons home to launder and two of the apron strings got caught under the agitator and popped it off and cracked the piece under it. I took a wrench and undid the bolt that held it on and untangled the aprons. Is this is the coupling agitator OEM part number GE WH43X20032 that I need?

Thanks for providing this service. Our washer is not agitating. There are no error codes, just a steady light flash. The belt seems to be working fine.We took the agitator off. I did take the agitator coupling off but didn't notice any problem.I will take it off again and see if it is stripped. Any other suggestions if that is not the problem? Thanks
