What should I worry about when changing the keypad on Ge profile oven model# JGBP90MEB6BC?
You will want to make sure that the power is off and if you have an electrostatic grounding strap you would want to have it on. This will protect the controls from damage of static discharge.
The stove works fine. The oven takes a long time to heat to the required temperature and give a pop sound as it heats up. It does get to the required temperature and the indicator beeps as normal to let you know it is ready. What is causing the pop type sound and why is it taking a long time to get to the required temperature. Everything else seems to be working fine.
Answer Hi Joane. On the back behind the rear cover is a 2-wire thermodisc- Sensor part # WB20K10005. It is currently out of stock but should be redially available on the You can temporarily jumper these 2-wires together to see if it is better now. This disc will audibly click when defective and stop heater current until it cools down again. You need to consider to ohm out the oven sensor at room temperature it should be as close to 1,100 ohms. It is part # WB21X5301. It helps regulate the temperature of the oven. Thank You.
