How does the auto damper work if its not electronic?
Answer Hello Moses,
The damper door is controlled by a temperature sensitive liquid, (very acidic), that is captured in a confined space. This allows the expansion and contraction of the liquid to open and close the damper door through a mechanical transfer of the reaction of the liquid to the temperature it is exposed to. This gives an accurate control of the damper door by the existing temperature.
The freezer is cold (-10) the fresh food side warm (52). The damper control door is open.
Answer Hello Ric,
You need to make sure the evaporator fan motor WR60X190 is running. If it is, you will need to check for a frost build-up or anything preventing air flow in the damper and/or air return port areas.
