We have the GE Potscrubber 900, a very old (close to 20 years) dishwasher. We have leaking which looks like it's coming from the water valve which is blue. There's a very small hole spray water. Is part number AP2039339 the correct part for our model? Also, do you provide instructions on replacing the part?

G.M. We have this potscrubber 1200 that came with no catalog, so every thing I've done has been oriented via internet. The washer seems to start out right, meaning the pump winds for a few, water channels in the well deck, but then the volcano barely moves as well as the spray arms. Seems like there is not enough water pressure to have the arms moving = crappy wash! Also, is he arm at the top suppose to move and spray dishes? I checked continuity on motor and solenoid and were good, but none for water valve? Should there be one as well and is this the whole problem, as to why there is no movement or good wash??

We have a Kitchaid dishwaser (model # shown) and water isn't going thru machine. All seems to be working but no water going thru cycle. All lights are green and we can hear humming sound. The machine was purchased in 2009. Can you help?

Latest Questions

This is a 24+ year old dishwasher...which is twice or three times the expected life of units today. Several days ago, the water inlet valve/solenoid failed as water continued to fill (and spill) even when it was off. Now I like long-lived things: I drive a 40 year old 4x4, cut wood with a 32 y.o. chainsaw and heat with a 3 decades old wood stove. I've got a 35 year old shop vac that still out-pulls anything else. Now I can fix just about anything and replacing the water valve doesn't seem too difficult (famous last words....) and the price is quite reasonable. But is it 'worth it' to fix something beyond its expected life? Cheers

I purchased the heater nuts and replaced them when they arrived this week, item number AP3965251, for my Electrolux model no. FDB710LCB0 following your recommendation, it still leaks. I did notice mineral deposits on the top of the solenoid. I’m convinced that this is the problem. While the dishwasher is in operation, there’s a steady stream of water from that location. When the dishwasher is off, I’ve observed water leaking in that area. Everything else remains dry and operating correctly. I’ll purchase the electric water valve solenoid and replace the existing unit. What additional part(s) would you recommend that I replace?
