The entire ice / water dispenser has lost power .. It stopped working in the middle of dispensing ice. None of the keypad controls work including the light that comes on when the dispenser is pressed. I am looking for a solution or part needed to fix the problem. Thanks.

Answer Hello Matt. Look for a loose or bad wire connection on the unit. If all the wiring in the door is good, you will need to order and replace the main control board on the back of the unit.

Took apart ice and water dispenser to clean worked fine after. The next morning at 2am It started to dispense water or ice depending on the pushed button by itself The lock button or opening the door stopped it. Now the alarm comes on periodically. If i release the lock button it works ok for a while and then it happens again. Is it the control board? I appreciate any help so I can order the board. Thanks Marty

Answer Marty, You will want to check to make sure that when you reinstalled the assembly that no wires got pinched. If not then the control board would be the most likely cause of failure.

Yesterday I took apart the water and ice dispenser to clean it because the flapper was not closing. It was working fine until 2am when it started dispensing water on its own. What would cause this.

Answer Marty, You will want to check to make sure that when the assembly was put back together that a wire did not get pinched in the process and check to make sure that the dispenser lever is not making contact with the switch.

Answer Tom, You can get just the dispenser board WR55X10195 or you can get the complete assembly WR55X10516. The user interface assembly is both parts and the dispenser board is just the board as a separate from the user interface. They both have the same board.

Is there any way to test the Dispenser interface board or control board. On my unit there are no indicator lights working,. the ice dispenser only does crushed will not chage to cubed and the water dispenser does not work, The.Light and lock buttons work.

Answer Hello Ed, To test the display board you will test the board on connector J4 between pins 1 and 3 for 12 vdc. If you have power then the board is bad. If no power then you would need to replace the main control board.

Have to bang on control board in order for it to dispense ice or water Now I can get ice by banging on board but no water. Light comes on and control looks good. How can I be sure it is the Control Board and not something else? Thank you

Answer Hello Warren, You will want to pull the dispenser display off and look for loose connections in the dispenser assembly. Also check the wire harness connector at either the upper or lower hinge and test wires for continuity. If this checks good then you will need to replace dispenser control board.
