I need to replace the Dpo Drain Pan, part #AP3202588, on my Americana Top-Freezer Refrig, see model # in bottom box on left of this Q page. How do I get to it, i.e., how do I remove the old pan and replace it with the new pan? Thank you
To get to the drain pan on your unit, you would need to pull the unit out and remove the cover over where the compressor is located. This will give access to the drain pan. You may have to remove the condenser fan housing in order to remove.
My refrigerator is leaking I would like to know where exactly is the drip tray located? and can you show me how to get to it. what tools do I need in order to get to it? It is an older refrigerator an RCA model. It is leaking on the bottom inside as well as on the floor.
The defrost drain pan is located under the compressor in the back of the unit. The most likely cause for the unit to be leaking would be from the drain being clogged. There is a drain hose that can be removed that you will want to make sure that it is not clogged.
My refrigeragtor smells real bad when its operating. We took everything out and cleaned it with amonia and water, put all stuff back in and it still smells. I only have milk in it right now, what do you think is the problem?
Answer Ken, If the odor is inside the fridge, you want to re wash everything with hot, soapy water, and use hot water with lots of "baking soda" mixxed in as a rinse. If the majority of odor seems to be when the compressor is running, you want to move the fridge out, unplug the power cord, and remove the lower access panel from the back of the unit. Again, you want to wash everything with hot soapy water, especially the defrost drain pan, allow everything to dry out, and drop a tablespoon of chlorine bleach into the drain pan, and reverse the peocedure. Good Luck and Thanks
