Answer Hello Bob, First off, either unplug the unit or go to the breaker box and kill the power to the unit. If you turn off the breaker, you should still use some means of ensuring that the voltage is indeed off to the unit as there are more than one 240Vac breakers in the breaker box. I also recommend to wear gloves to prevent injury during the servicing of the unit. Using a paint scraper, depress the two clips that hold down the main top and lift the top. I usually raise it all the way up and let it rest against the wall. On the inside left and right, there are two screws that hold the main front to the cabinet. These two screws are threaded in straight back toward you. I usually just pivot the main front around so I don't have to remove and reinstall any of the door wiring. It's still not a bad idea to write down where the different color wires go to in case something happens that they come off. Now reach under the drum and remove the belt from the idler pulley assembly. Remove the drum and the drum rollers will be located in the rear of the cabinet. Before you install the new drum rollers, I do recommend cleaning the shafts with a paper towel. If they are burned or worn badly, you can loosen the nuts from the back and rotate the shafts to expose a fresh area to the spot where the wear is currently located. You see, the shafts are generally worn in the one area that the weight of the drum rides, so rotating their installation will extend their lifespan. Note that during reassembly, if you desire to lubricate anything, you should only use a dry lubricant. Graphite is not desirable as if it gets into the drum, it will stain material. Only use baby powder or corn starch to lubricate with. Of course reassembly is the reverse of the disassembly, so pay attention while you're in the process!
