We have an 11 year old GE side by side and had the ice maker replaced a couple days ago. Approximately how long should it take to make a full box of ice? It is about 2/3 to 3/4 full after 2 days. Thank you.

Answer Hi Don, depending on the temperature in side the freezer a normal cycle for a icemaker to harvest fresh ice cubes can take any where from 120 min to 180 min. It sounds like the icemaker is performing to specs, you have to remember it's only making 7 cubes at a time. Hope this helps!

My ice maker is not making ice. I have replaced the filter and have water to the dispenser in the freezer door. For the last year, the icemaker would not shut off making ice, so I would turn it on and off using the power switch. Is it likely that I now need a new icemaker, or could their be another problem?

Answer Hello Gerald. Is water getting up to the icemaker? If not then you may have a bad water valve part number [WR57X10032]. If water is getting up the line then you may need to replace the icemaker. Hope this helps.

Previously you told me to cycle the icemaker...what do you mean by that? How do I do that? Unfortunately, I have the Multi-meter but don't know how to use it and don't have instructions. Can you direct me on how to use it?

Answer Hello Susan. You will need to set your meter on atleast 120 volts AC. Here are the instructions on the icemaker harvest mode. Hope this helps. SERVICE DIAGNOSTICS TEST MODE During the first 15 seconds that power is first applied to the icemaker, the Service Diagnostics Test mode may be entered. The Service Mode is entered by pushing the feeler arm in and out three times within 15 seconds. (only three times). There will be only one fill cycle (5.1 second) in the service diagnostics mode without the waiting period for the mold to “pre-chill”. If the icemaker has already started a harvest cycle and the arm is moving, it may be impossible to start the service mode. (since the NORMAL cycle is already started).

I received ice maker WR30X10093 which is supposed to be compatible with my refrigerator/freezer GE Model TBX18DIZARWW. This replacement ice maker fills from the center (water emits from a tube in the side wall of the freezer). It came with a spout to direct the water there. The original ice maker filled from the end (water emits from a tube in the back wall of the freezer). The tube in the rear of my freezer is too short to reach the ice maker. The water will pour out into the freezer. There is no provision for the provided spout to attach under the tube at the back of my freezer. Is there a solution? Thanks.

Hi. Our GE GSS25QGTG is not dispensing ice. The auger was broken, and I replaced the entire auger and bucket assembly. Still no ice is ejected through door. If I remove the bucket and press the lever on the door, the metal "fork" that powers the auger turns. However, if I put any resistance on the "fork" it appears to be stripped and i can hold it in place even though the motor and shaft are turning. Should I replace the entire assembly WR30X10093? Thanks

Answer Jeff, If the fork on the auger motor is stripped then you would want to replace the auger motor WR60X10258 and the coupling WR02X11941.
