Answer Hello Charles. You will need to test the bake element and make sure it reads closed for continuity. If it is open, you will need to replace the element.

Answer Hello Lisa. No, the broil element WB44T10043 is in the top of the oven and the bake element WB44T10018 is in the bottom of the unit. It is normal for the elements to burn up in all ovens and they can get very bright and scary at times. Hope this helps.
