This element in my stove will only heat on the small ring. I tried replacing the element rocker switch with no luck. Is there anything else on this circuit I should look at before I try replacing the whole element?

The large dual element heats somewhat erratically. The large and small coils seem to work, but they will turn on briefly sometimes, go off, then back on again and does not heat up very well. Sometimes it works fine, but generally, it does no heat as well as the small front left burner. Will a dirty Infinite control switch cause this or is it the burner? Thanks

Latest Questions

The dual element works for the small and not the large burner. How do I test it properly (placements of test leads) with the muIti-meter. I think the small shows continuity while the large burner doesn't but wanted to make sure I am testing it correctly by placing it on the right areas of the element. Thanks

Inner element of the dual element on the right side will not heat. Outer ring seems to work with control. Should I look to replace the element or the infinity switch? I'm thinking element but would like a more knowledgeable opinion. Thanks!

The dual size burner on my smooth top G.E. range doesn't heat on the small and large burner. The light to indicate the burner is in use still works. Do you think it needs a new element?
