Hi - We just replaced the evaporator fan motor on our GE SxS fridge and while it works, it starts to make a howling noise when the fridge cycle has been on for a few minutes. What would be the cause of this? Could the fan motor be defective or would something else (wiring or circuit board?) be causing it to make this annoying noise? We checked the compressor motor and fan, and it is not the source of the noise. Thank you. I appreciate your help.

My evaporator fan does not work at times. If I take a small piece of rubber hose and push in the fan vent from above and give it a nudge it starts. I think I need to replace the motor or is there a starter somewhere also.

I purchased New Main Board WR55X10942 because only lights working on Fridge, that fixed everything but Evaporator Fan Motor was not working so I purchased a new Evaporator Fan Motor, it does have 12v dv to motor and still is not working. Freezer side is cold and fridge side a little cold. (maybe not cold enough?) could there be something else that went out when Main Board gave out? p.s (old evap motor did show light brown mark where burned out)
