This refrigerator is about two years old and has had a problem with making too much ice since I got it. Looking at the part picture for the arm, I can't tell if the new arm different from the one that is already installed. I have also always had problems with the cubes freezing together.

Answer Hello Paul,
The ice makers WR30X10093 have been redesigned by GE so the replacement ice maker will probably differ from the new one. As far as the cubes freezing together, this can be a couple of different things. First thing I would suspect, since there is a problem with the ice maker already, the mold heater switch in the ice maker assembly WR30X10093 can be sticking and producing heat just above the ice bin, causing the cubes to melt and refreeze. The next thing I would suspect is the defrost thermostat WR50X10065 isn't opening and the defrost heater is staying on the during entire defrost which would soften up everything in the freezer compartment every time a defrost cycle is accomplished.
My refrig model is CSS25USWASS. There is a small spring that sits between the arm and the ice making untit that provides tension. The icemaker model part number is WR30X10093.

Answer Brad, thank you. It seems that the spring is not available by itself or with the feeler arm. The only way to obtain the spring is by ordering the ice maker assembly WR30X10093. Thanks!
Can I purchase just the spring that used with this arm? Mine is broken. Thanks.
Brad
Answer Brad, may we please have the full model number to your appliance please? Thanks.
