The GE repairman just left my house and he thinks I need a new front outer tub (which is warn with plastic pieces coming off) and a inside tub which he thinks may be warped. My washer wobbles a lot and is rubbing somewhere when it spins. Do you think the outer front tub and inner silver tub is all I'll need? Is it worth repairing? The belt looks perfect and the back bolt is tight but the front of the tub has a lot of play.

I have a GE front load washer. It recently has started to shake pretty loud during the spin cycle. It appears that one of the dampners is shot. so i have ordered 4 to replace them all. My question is that i noticed that when i have the door open i have about a 1/2 inch play with the stainless drum within the plastic larger drum. Is this normal. I have the parts explosion sheet and i cannot tell if there are some kind of guides that keep it centered. It spins fine just seem like alot of play. ideas? thank you

My wife noticed that the washer was out of balance and that it had been making a noise when it was turning. I pulled the front off and found melted plastic around the front of the drum. I know I need to replace the front tub but is there anything that I should look for so that this will not happen again? Also other then the front tub is there any other gasket or o-ring that I might need when I go to change this?

I have the same issue as Kyle for model WBVH6240F0WW, except I have model WCVH6260FWW. The drum hangs low with a pronounced gap at the top. It wobbles if the machine spins. The plastic track has pieces front and back that are worn, frayed, or missing. I am having trouble locating the part from the diagram. This model also has on occasion not stopped water flow into tub. Might a relay be bad that doesn't stop water flow? Thanks for your help!

My washer has been making loud grinding and thumping noises. I noticed to day that the drum was kind of hanging about an inch to low and wobbles pretty bad. I looked in the gap and the plastic track that the drum glides on is ripped apart and worn down. Is this the part I'm looking for?
