I ordered this part and it has no magnet in it like the old gasket did. Is it supposed to have or is there a new way to install it?

Answer Hello Shannon. All the door gaskets have a small magnet strip in them, but it is not strong enough to pull the door. Once the gasket WR24X529 is installed, you will need to heat the gasket and make sure the gasket is sealing properly all the way around the edges. Be careful not to melt the new gasket. If I purchased a new seal and the door doesnt seem to want to keep shut do I have any other options? Is there a more "magnetic" seal?

Answer Hello Jeremiah. No, there is no stronger gasket WR24X529. Make sure the unit is level. If not, the doors will not seal properly. Hope this helps.
