I'm replacing the water line in freezer door. Can I just take off the inside of door and replace water line from the inside or is it best by doing it from the front of the door?
Answer Hello Mike,
I have always done this from the front of the door. You can't even access it with the door panel off since the water line runs inside a tube in the door and it cannot be accessed with the door panel off.
i need to replace part#WR17X3670. how do I go about doing it?
Answer Psnpd, Firs you need to turn the water supply off and remove power to the refrigerator. You'll need to remove the dispenser facade, using a putty knife and a lot of care(dont crack or brake the facade when you pry it off the door panel) Remove the control bracket assembly for easier access to the fill tube. You then need to remove the kickplate and disconnect the coupler to the tubes, and clean up the water. Attach a strong string or flexible wire to the end of the tube with tabe and extract the fill tube from the front of the dispenser. Attach the string to the end of the tube (attempt to form the tape into a smooth funnel shape or cone shape(it'll help) Insert the new tube in the dispenser opening, and push on the tube and pull on the string at the same time, it may take a lot of patience, trim the tube to length as needed, re install the bracket and facade, tun the water on and re apply power to the fridge. Run at least 3 quarts of water through the dispenser to flush any debris or air in the tubing
The water delivering system leaks from the opening at the door level. How to fix it,what parts are needed?Thx,V.
Answer Hi Vespucio. The water comes from under the unit frame and up the freezer lower hinge door. There is a coupler at that area that is common to leaks. This part is a screw on/off type. It is part # WR2X8545. Thank you.
