I am going to show my ignoance here. I keep being told to check with the multi-meter, and I get how to read it and set it, what I cannot find is where do I place the multi-meter probes on the mother board, thermister, and start relay switch?

Thank you for letting me know where the Harness AC FZ interme is and what it does, am I to understand it could affect the compressor and if it has power or not? My apologies for asking so many questions, my fridge went on the blink, and it is only 8 years old and cost quite a bit ($1800.00) to be ready for replacement already, not to mention I am out of work, and a new one is not a possibility at this time. When I do figure out what is needed to repair it and order the parts, the parts that are not returnable will be marked as such before purchase? I cannot say thank you enough for offering this service!

Answer Hello Susan. There are some wires in the harness WR23X10487 that can affect the compressor. You will need to test and see if there is power going to the compressor. If not, you may have a bad main control board WR55X10942. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. What does the Harness Ac Fz interme (Part Number: AP3996026) do? Could it effect whether or not the compressor comes on or not?

Answer Hi Susan. This electrical connector is inside the freezer that all other internal electrical devices are plugged in to. It is made internally in the cabinet so it completes the circuits/ info needed fot the controls. This part # is WR23X10487. Thank you.
