Set dryer for 30 min on medium- displayed just fine, but will not run. Notice moisture sensor loose, but repairman states sensor cannot be the problem because the control panel is out. Is this true?

Answer Hello Efix2day,
If the display is not working then the unit will not run. If the display is working and the unit will not run the moisture sensor would not cause unit to not run and you would be looking at a possible thermistor being faulty. You should check display to make sure getting power to the display. If you are and the display is not working then you would want to replace the display. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Placed some clothes in dryer that were wetter than normal, started dryer, it stopped and the sensing light was illuminated. When the start button is pressed now, theres a click and the sensing light goes on. wont start.

Answer Ninj, Before you replace anything, you need to check the door switch circuit and wiring WE4M415 and make sure the idler arm switch and wires are actuated properly WD21X10261 and the belt has not broke. Then consider the control board WE19M1453. Thanks and Good Luck
