The igniter(s) on my gas range does not stop clicking. Will replacing the harness switch solve the problem?
The switch harness could very well be the issue with the igniters clicking constantly. You can check the switches for continuity in the off position and if one of the switches shows continuity then replace the harness.
In response to replacing harness switch. Could you advise on how to do this? How do I remove cook top? Model J2S968S0H2SS- GE dual fuel.
Answer Hi. Remove the control top knobs. Remove the valve shaft nuts and the top panel comes off this way. Disconnect the panel keypad ribbon cable. Remove the inner panel as well. This gives access to the harness switch all together. Make sure all switches are placed firmly onto the burner valve shoulder locating tabs. Harness switch part # WB18T10343. Thank You.
