Answer Hello Chris, The heater harness assembly WR02X4546 is what usually fails in these units. It is simple to install, just make sure no wires get crimped during re-assembly. Also make sure the ice is melted away before putting the unit back into operation. The defrost circuit can only melt away the frost build-up between defrost cycles and cannot melt away a major accumulation. A hair dryer works great for this.

Answer Hello Keith. The model number you provided uses 2 heaters. If one heater is bad, the manufacture suggest replacing both heaters WR49X392 in the unit.
