Answer Hello Joyce. Pour hot water through the drain to make sure it is clear. If so, then level the unit and make sure the freezer is around 0°.

Answer Hello Joyce. No, the drain has to be clogged, or the unit is not level for the water not to drain. The heater is working if it is melting the ice and causing it to turn into water.
