Where can I find my model number?

Yes,that is the model #. Every website I go to tries to say its wrong but that's what it clearly says on the door. I have doubled checked it several times as has my daughter. My question is this: If the Heater Defrost is bad will it keep the defrost mode from turning off? In other words mine defrosts the whole time its cooling. You can feel the (intense) heat on the outside walls of the freezer. I have already replaced the temp control, the defrost thermostat and the defrost timer with no luck. The defrost kicks in as soon as I plug in the freezer and turn the dial on. If I leave it running eventually it starts dripping water onto the floor. I'm tired of wasting money on this problem and I have been reading that GE freezers are famous for defrost issues which is NOT a good thing!! Thank you for your time. I truly appreciate any help/ideas you can give me. Yes,I do plan to purchase the part here if that's what it needs. If you don't charge me for an answer.

Answer Hello Pauly. No, the heater is from the sealed system, not the defrost heater. It is normal for the sides of the cabinet to get warm. Make sure the coils on the back of the unit are away from the way enough to get air and are not restricted. Hope this helps.
