Is the helix the plastic part that supports the "forward" part of the auger? The plastic part which the ice actually travels through on its way through the crusher? How hard is that to replace? A repairman told me it was next to impossible and would take at least three hours. Is this true? Do you have detailed directions or a video for replacing whichever part it is that I am talking about? My drive cup broke and will order from you. But blade 3 pn the drive shaft auger was outside of the housing. Took apart and put back in the housing. But seems to be nothing to keep blades in place and in housing. No bushing in front of blade 1 just outside washer, lock nut and helix washer lock. Should there be a bushing between blade 1 and outside washer, lock nut and helix?

Latest Questions

The helix on my icemaker spins freely and slides back and forth. It appears to be intact, so the question is whether I can just replace the helix lock in order to make sure it turns with the auger, or do I need to buy both the helix and the lock.

Trying to figure out why my in-door ice dispenser doesn't work reliably. Is PN #AP3206383 ("Helix") supposed to be keyed onto the auger shaft, or is it supposed to spin freely on the shaft? It spins freely, making me wonder what useful purpose it serves.
