Is the hood damper assembly, the exhaust assembly, and damper combined or do I need to buy Both?
Answer Hello Paul,
The hood damper assembly is the part that fastens to the microwave. When the unit is installed, it lines up with the exhaust ducting. The actual "damper" is the flapper shown in the picture of the part.
I have a over the range microwave model JVM1750DM1BB that is set up for recirculating exhaust. I want to convert it to overhead outside exhaust. What parts do I need.
Answer Hello Bill,
You will need no parts to convert it short of the ducting material. Simply drop the unit and remove the screws holding the flapper and fan assembly. Rotate the fan motor so it is facing either the rear or the top, (depending on which way it will blow to the vent), and re-assemble.
