Answer Hi Sonny. Remove the ice bin. Tape the door switch shut. Now ask for ice. Open the door and see if the crush solenoid has changed positions ( up or down ). Remove the Auger conver and inspect if this is a mechanical hang up from the crush solenoid itself part # WR62X58. If it does not work both ways when toggling from crush to cube then it cannot operate the ice bin auger itself. Are there and crush ice frozen in the ice bin auger stopping the auger motor to turn it? Auger motor part # WR60X10258. Clean and dry the ice - bin completely each/ mo. to keep it operating . If you don't regulate the ice maker every couple of days , the ice maker will over flow the ice bin and creates these problems. Use the ice bin down to half way and then turn the ice maker back on. Are there any stuck cubes in the ice bin cutter blades ? You need to determine to see if this is a mechanical or a electrical issue. Thank You.

And this may help as well, "Remove the ice cube solenoid linkage Phillips head screw and slide the linkage back. Remove the ice crusher cover Phillips head screws (2) and remove the cover. With a pair of pliers, twist off the backing plate tabs located on either side of the crusher. With 2 small flat-blade screwdrivers, unlock the ice crusher locking tabs located at either side of the ice crusher.Lift the ice crusher out of the bucket.Remove the ice crusher back cover. 9. Remove the locking ring from the ice crusher auger. Remove the plastic nut with a pair of pliers by turning it clockwise. Remove the spacers and blades. The blades are numbered for reassembly." Answer Hello Doug. Check and make sure the ice bucket is not broke. If it is good, you will need to test and see if there is power coming to the solenoid assembly WR62X58. If so, and the solenoid does not activate, you will need to replace the solenoid assembly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Answer Hi Pat. There are 2 - thermistors which monitor temperatures in the fresh food. Part # WR55X10025. One in the freezer also the same part #. The damper regulates the refrigerator temperature also as well , this part # is WR55X10025 with instructions. Usually when this is bad other food will freeze at the top of the fresh food side as well. Remove the crisper drawers and if there is a return vent flapper out of place it will be to the left of the tank where the center divider wall is. There is tank insulation part # WR17X11620. Make sure your freezer is no colder then 0° (mid way at controls), so no freezer air migrates back into the fresh food /tank area as cold air is denser and will migrate lower areas naturally.
