The ice cubes from my ice maker smelled terrible!

My Repair & Advice
Scrubbing and cleaning the old ice bucket didn't help. I even tried washing it in the dishwasher with only limited improvement. I purchased this ice bucket and auger replacement part and it fixed my smelly ice cube problem. Ice cubes from my freezer are now odor-free! Installation was easy and took less than 10 minutes. Just remove 4 screws to detach the face plate from the old ice bin, and use the same screws to attach the faceplate to the new bin. I put the new bin in the freezer and stopped the ice maker for a few hours to give the new bin a chance to cool down to freezer temperature before letting new ice fall into it, and it working great!
