Answer Hello Carmen. The interface WR55X10631 unsnaps from the freezer door. You can use a flat blade to pry it from the bottom right side corner.

Answer Hello Bill. If the lights go out when the dispenser is pressed, you will need to order and replace the main control board WR55X10942 on the unit.

Answer Hi John. Remove the power. Look under the upper fzr.door hinge at the molex electrical connectors. See if the pins have separated by unplugging them. Use a flashlight if needed. The pins individually are pushed in from the back of the connector plug. They are slightly common to not lock into place fully therefore backing out and not connecting fully. They will electrically arc and burn open enough for a break in voltage feed. If so, then either repair the pins or jumper them with a wire and bypass the connector altogether. As long as the new repair fits clearly under the hinge cover smoothly without getting pinched. If these are Ok, then look at the freezer door switch part # WR23X10530. The power starts and stops there when the door is opened .Please let me know what you find so I can assist. further. Thank You.

Answer Tom, You may want to try drying the board and wiring out with a hairdryer, it may solve the issue, but based on your information< you may have damaged the dispenser board, beyond repair, and will need to replace it. Good Luck and Thanks

Answer Hello Dale. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the main control board WR55X10942 is bad and will need to be replaced. If the lights dim, it's the main control board, not the dispenser board. Hope this helps.
