Door switch went bad. Smelled of burnt plastic, button stuck in full in position. Is AP2023984 (jam switch) the correct part? It shows it unavailable. If so, are there alternate parts that cross reference?
Answer Hello Jon! Yes, part number WB24K5061 is the door switch. Unfortunately, this item has been discontinued with no further replacements or cross references available and our company is unaware of any other available sources. Sorry about that!
Our top oven has stopped working but the bottom oven works fine?
Answer Hi Steve. There are 3-limit switches inside the top of the unit. One is near the lt. front on top of a square cover it is part # WB24K5033. There is another to the lt. of the fan. It is part # WB24K5085. The other one has a red button (reset) in the middle and is on the back. It is part # WB24K5049. If you need to reset this then it is advised to replace it. Use a volt/ohm meter part # TJMA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. They all normally read closed -0-ohms. If open (infinity) then replace them. You can temporarily bypass the thermostat for testing purpose only. Put the two wires together (tape them W/elect. tape)and does it come on now? Check the oven sensor part # WB21X5301 for 1100 ohms. Usually with high temperatures that shut the u8nit down (after cleaning) will wipe out the sensor as well. Thank You.
