Answer Mark, The damper for this unit is located under the refrigerator top and would be accessed by removing the light cover and the panel where the light sit. Once this assembly is down, the damper would be located on the left side behind a stryofoam ducting.

Answer Mark, You would want to replace the entire damper assembly as it may not just be the damper being stuck open but possibly the door being broken off the damper.

Answer Hello Richard, You will want to check the damper for proper opening and closing. If the damper is not operating then you would want to replace it. Part number for the damper is WR60X10063. The damper is located in the upper section of the refrigerator compartment and upper part of refrigerator section will have to be disassembled to access it.

Answer John, You didn't mention an issue. But, it is more likely to be an issue in the damper assembly WR49X10107 than a thermistor. As long as you're careful and don't damage the foam block/air tunnel, you won't need any other parts.

Answer Hello Fred. Test for power coming to the damper assembly WR49X10107. If there is power there, and the damper does not open, you will need to order and replace the damper assembly in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
