Latest Questions

A repairman replaced the motherboard on our refrigerator using WR49X10152. He said we did not have the current source board connected to the mainboard so we shouldn't need the wire harness. Once he installed the new motherboard the compressor would not turn on. He installed the wire harness and the compressor came on. BUT he did not clip the blue wire with the yellow line. Today the freezer is at 17 degrees. One more thing - the fan does not turn off when you open the door - which it did before the replacement. Does our model require a wire harness and clipping the blue wire or should this have been a straight swap? Thank you for your help.

I have a problem where the freezer defrost cycle melts all the ice in the ice maker. It had issues not being able to regulate temperature. Cleaning out the condenser has solved that but unfortunatly didn't help the defrosting problem. I've heard that these models have issues with the main electronics bd not turning the cooling back on soon enough after the defrost heater is activated so I was thinking of replacing the main bd. to see if that helps. Is there any troubleshooting advice you might have? Thanks in advance.
