What is the upper tower rack used for?

Answer Chris, the upper rack tower kit WD28X10232 is installed on the upper rack and is used to shoot water inside the upper portion of the dishwasher. Your model GSD2000G00WW does not use this tower. Thanks.
The Kit Tower Upper Rack fell off my dishwasher. I have no idea when it fell off or where it goes. It looks like Part #AP4412317. The part itself does not appear to be broke. Do I need to order parts to re-attach? Where does it go?

Answer Esther, The upper rack tower"snaps" onto the bottom of the upper rack,in the center. you will need to look at the bottom of the tower, there should be four(4) "clipc,ensure none are cracked or broken. Look at the bottom wrungs of the rack, make sure there are no broken or damaged wrungs,if all's OK, insert the clips onto the wrungs on one side, raise the tower to an upright position and slide it over until the clips "snap and lock in place.
