While replacing the door handle, the plastic connector that hooks to bottom of spring fell off. Now I'm at a loss how it is positioned back.

Answer Hello Victor. The spring hooks to the center of the door latch and the frame. It applies downward pressure to the door latch. Hope this helps.

Part AP 2020307 does this door latch/hinge come with a spring and plastic connector? The plastic connector that hooks to bottom of spring is broken on my current unit. The rest of assembly is fine.
